For New Hope to accomplish it's vision, all but the largest decisions and functions must be carried out by the people of the church. To help this process, New Hope has several ministry teams. These teams do everything from maintence to community outreach both inside and outside the church. A great way to get connected to the church while experiencing how rewarding helping other can be, is to throw yourself into a ministry team.

Here is the list of ministry teams at New Hope. In the future, this list will include contact information for the leaders. As for now, if you an interest in one of these teams, contact the church office and we will get you in touch with the right person.

Administrative Services Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to oversee church matters relating to legal
issues, insurance and will coordinate benefit packages of church employees.
This multi-purpose ministry will include the Church Trustees and individuals
that posses the gift of administration. This ministry will work very closely with the Financial Ministry and the church staff.

Bereavement Ministry
The Bereavement Ministry is ministry dedicated to showing compassion to
those individuals and families that have suffered the loss of loved ones.
Communication between the Bereavement Ministry and the church staff is
essential.

Building Maintenance
The Building Maintenance Ministry’s primary purpose is to coordinate,
plan and implement the maintenance and upkeep of the church facility.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills are useful in this ministry.

Children’s Ministry (Staff Member: Bethany Dean)
The most important part of this ministry is to show Christ’s love. This
children’s ministry is designed and set-up to allow children from birth to sixth grade to learn and experience the foundations of a Christian life and Christ’s love. This is done through age specific Sunday School classes, a time of group worship and interactivity (Wee Worship, K.P.J., Jr. Worship, and Konnects),special events and outings, and individual relationships. This ministry is not only teaching the children what the Bible says, but also showing them through one’s actions and personal life.

Compassion Ministry
Working as a form of local missions, the compassion ministry works to
serve those who have need in our church body and in our community. From
handyman projects and financial support, to birthday gifts for those in nursing homes, this ministry aims to make Christ felt in our neighborhood. This ministry allows those involved to run with an area of compassion that they are particularly interested in or get involved in current compassion ministry.

Fellowship Ministry
The Fellowship Ministry’s primary purpose will be to fulfill the purpose
and mission of New Hope Christian Church by planning and providing events
that will promote fellowship within the congregation. This is primarily a food
ministry that serves the meal needs of the church body as well as individual
ministries.

Financial Ministry
The Financial Ministry is a vital ministry that works closely with most ministries coordinating and overseeing the financial and budgetary needs of New Hope. The church treasurer is an integral part of this ministry team.

Guest Services Ministry
The Guest Services Ministry’s primary purpose will be to fulfill the purpose and mission of New Hope Christian Church by focusing on newcomers and first time visitors. Guests at New Hope will be ministered to in a variety of methods. The Guest Ministry will need spiritually gifted volunteers especially in, but not exclusively in, the areas of service and hospitality.

Interior Decorating Ministry
The Interior Decorating Ministry’s primary purpose is to coordinate, plan and
implement the decorating of the church building. Knowledge of decorating,
painting and wallpapering are useful in this ministry.

Journey to Bethlehem Ministry
The Journey to Bethlehem Ministry administers and plans the Journey to
Bethlehem – an annual drama and community outreach event that takes place in early December. The purpose of the event is to introduce those that are not Christians to the real reason for the season. The event also helps those that are Christians to focus on what is really important during the Christmas season. It also serves as means to actively involve the church family in ministry. Coordinated planning with the entire church family, Landscaping Ministry, Finance Ministry and the staff will be essential for this ministry.

Landscaping and Grounds Ministry
The Landscaping and Grounds Ministry’s primary purpose is to coordinate, plan and implement the maintenance and upkeep of the church grounds and
landscaping.. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, concrete, carpentry,
landscaping and skills are useful in this ministry.

Media Ministry (Staff Member: Josh Dean)
This ministry is charged with communicating the message of the church both inside and outside the walls of the church, to the believers and non-believers. This group does not function in one medium, rather they use a variety of means to communicate the most important message.

Missions Ministry
The Mission Ministry’s responsibility will be to choose the missionaries and
organizations that the church will support with funds drawn out of the annual budget.

Outreach Ministry
The purpose of the Outreach Ministry is to provide programs and services to
the community to extend the love of God to all people. The objective of this
ministry will be to show the world that God lives and He can meet the needs of all people wherever or whoever they may be.

Prayer Ministry
The purpose of the Prayer Ministry is to facilitate all matters of prayer for the church, its members, the community, our nation and the world. This would include the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of all. The objective of this ministry will be to communicate with our Lord, encourage and strengthen His people for service and exalt the Lord.

SonShine Makers
This women’s group exists to support the church and provide encouragement. With monthly meetings they plan events from Ladies Night Out to various individual baby showers & wedding showers.

Transportation Ministry
The Transportation Ministry’s primary purpose is to coordinate, plan and
implement the maintenance and upkeep of the church vehicles as well as
providing transportation to those in need. Knowledge of car maintenance will
be helpful in this ministry.

Worship Ministry (Staff Member: Andrea Hagemeier)
Lead by the Worship Minister, this ministry’s main function is to facilitate and promote all aspects of worship in the church. From planning themes and
creative ideas into Sunday Morning worship and overseeing all aspects of the
service, to supporting the musical needs of other ministries, Music ministry has a broad impact on our church body and any newcomers.

Teen Ministry (Staff Member: Dennis McDannald)
Lead by the Teen Minister with a focus on the junior and senior high school
students, this ministry partners with parents to challenge teens spiritually and develop deep friendships with them. Teens today face more and more
challenges as they struggle their way into adulthood. Helping with this ministry will serve youth as they make their way through a crucial time in their spiritual development.
