Vision

The leadership at New Hope has adopted the Purpose Driven model which is based on the book "The Purpose Driven Church" by Rick Warren. The model gives practical, bible based guidelines for the church and it's leadership and is organized around five basic principals:

SHARE

New Hope Christian Church exists to SHARE the good news about Jesus to the world around us. We do this by reaching out to our neighbors, reaching out to our community and reaching out into the rest of the world beyond. We do this so that everyone might have the same opportunity to experience a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

SEEK

We celebrate our relationship with God though a weekly time of corporate worship and by living the rest of our lives in a way that would be pleasing to Him. Our times of corporate worship are open to anyone wanting to expand and connect their understanding of God.

SUPPORT

The church is a place of friendship where we can share in each other's victories and help one another as we struggle through the pains that come with life. The church is also a place where we strive to help those around us become more like Jesus with openness and honesty.

SHAPE

The church exists to teach everyone about Jesus. With weekly classes on Sunday morning and small groups that study the Bible we try to know and learn as much as we can about God, His son Jesus and our guide the Holy Spirit. With this knowledge we will be better equipped to carry out the other purposes of the church.

SEND

The church exists to share the love of Jesus (love that we have been freely given) with others by serving them, as Jesus served us. We seek to teach the world about Christ's love by meeting the basic needs of those around us that don't know Him.

These five basic purposes of the church are from the basic mission of Jesus' life on earth:

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself." - Matthew 22:37-39
